This 75-year-old Highland Park bungalow renovation honors its architectural heritage while reimagining it for modern life. Working closely with the client, we opened up the floorplan to flood the space with natural light and flow, while preserving original features that gave the home its soul. A palette of warm woods, handmade tiles, and curated vintage pieces brought depth and texture, balancing California casual with refined restraint. As an interior designer with expertise in Pasadena renovations, my goal was to create a seamless blend of past and present — where history is celebrated, but functionality leads.
